Accurate assessment of individuals’ physical activity and screen time is essential to obesity research, but there are numerous challenges to doing so. This symposium will address common pitfalls to physical activity and sedentary behavior assessment, especially in our digital world where screens are omnipresent. We will then present novel technologies and methodologies to improve assessment, and help you understand how to appropriately use the high volume of data that often comes with new approaches.
